The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) measures the language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as a language of communication. The exam is taken by millions all across the world as it is one of the most widely accepted tests for English proficiency.

IELTS is commonly owned by IDP: IELTS Australia, British Council & Cambridge Assessment English. Team of test writers from English-speaking countries contribute to the IELTS content.

The revised rate of IELTS in India is  INR 14000/- 

1. IELTS Academic : For candidates applying for higher education or professional registration.

2. IELTS General Training:  For candidates considering migration to countries such as Australia, Canada, the UK and New Zealand or for secondary education, training and work experience in an English speaking environment.

The Listening , Reading and Writing sections are held on the same day  (with no breaks in between the tests) which take 2 hours and 45 minutes to complete. The Speaking test (11-14 minutes ) is scheduled on the same day, 7 days before or two days , depending on local arrangements.

There are 48 fixed dates a year, ideally two times a month and can go up to four depending on number of candidates. For more information visit

You will loose your entire fee if you are absent without prior notice. If you present a medical certificate within 5 days, you shall receive refund minus administrative costs.

IELTS uses a 9-band scale to identify levels of proficiency, from non-user (band score 1) through to expert (band score 9).

Paper-based IELTS:   13 days after completion of test 

Computer-delivered IELTS:  5 to 7 days after completion of test 

PTE Academic

Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) is accepted for student and migration applications across the world.

PTE Academic has an unbiased approach to testing. It is assessed by AI based technology, removing the scope of any human errors. 

IELTS is a paper-based exam and scored on a scale of 1-9, PTE is a computer-based test scored on a scale of 10-90 points. 

Test sessions can be scheduled up to 24 hours in advance, 365 days a year.

Results are typically delivered in just 5 business days. PTE Academic offers global testing in    more than 250 test centers in over 50 countries.

There are 3 sections

Speaking & Writing (77- 93 minutes)

Reading (32 – 40 minutes )

Listening (45 – 57 minutes )

The PTE Academic costs INR 13,300/-
